Gut-selective antibiotic for the management of traveller's diarrhoea and hepatic encephalopathy with minimal systemic absorption.
About Rifafit-400
Rifafit-400 is an oral tablet formulation of Rifaximin 400 mg developed by Amigas Pharma. Rifaximin is a semi-synthetic, non-systemic antibiotic that acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract with minimal absorption into the bloodstream, making it a gut-selective option in appropriate clinical settings. It is used under medical supervision for indications such as traveller's diarrhoea caused by non-invasive strains of Escherichia coli and the reduction in recurrence of overt hepatic encephalopathy in adults with liver disease. Each Rifafit-400 tablet is manufactured at a WHO-GMP certified facility with validated processes covering active ingredient assay, dissolution, and stability testing.
